It was nice, good environment.

Clean room with lots of space and very comfortable beds. We watched the Northern Lights from the hotel’s balcony.

The room was small but perfectly fine for a one-night stay while exploring the Golden Circle. The kitchenette was well-equipped and spotless. When we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the stove, we called the property and they helped us immediately - very friendly and efficient. The location is quiet and calm, with just a short drive down a gravel road. A good, restful stop before continuing our journey.

Our 9-day journey to Iceland was all-too-short, but our decision to spend the middle third of our journey in Fludir was a wise one. As it turned out, we were briefly snowed-in during our stay, so we were fortunate to have Efra-Sel as our cozy refuge. The guesthouse features a fabulous living-room window that overlooks this dramatic area, and its well-stocked kitchen, its squeaky-clean bathrooms, its ample & comfortable bed, & its easy parking left us feeling fortunate we'd found this town gem. We were close to an excellent Ethiopian restaurant (in the middle of rural Iceland!) and one of our favorite dining experiences of our entire trip, Farmer's Bistro, where twice we practically foundered on mushrooms. Most memorable of all was the nearby Gamla Laugin--the "secret lagoon" that I discovered on a snowy morning run. While Gamla Laugin is hardly a secret any longer, it provided one of our most memorable, essential Icelandic afternoons as we warmed in its warm waters while snow fell on us. A little off the beaten Golden Circle tourist route, Efra-Sel and Fludir in general come highly recommended.

Exceptional! After a long drive, we checked into our beautiful apartment and were able to chill in the lagoon. The hosts let me check in earlier- that was very kind of them! Beautiful rooms with a shared kitchen. Super calm at night. I loved strolling around. Strongly recommend!

Remote location. Clean and fresh

An amazing stay in a spacious, spotlessly clean house with two separate bedrooms and a generous living and dining area — ideal for families with kids. The private geothermal hot tub in the evening is pure magic and an absolute highlight. The host was exceptionally responsive and helpful throughout — always just a message away. Highly recommend and would return without hesitation!

The host was very communicative even for the holiday week and we were incredibly comfy during our stay. When we couldn’t get the sauna working he even called to help us trouble shoot it. The house itself is well equipped and is very comfortable! We were 2 families of 4 traveling together and we were very comfortable in the space!

Most of the place. We were lucky to be the only ones so we had the kitchen for ourselves and was perfectly clean. The room is cozy and there are two common bathrooms, both very clean. We saw the host on the checkout and she was very kind and friendly. Extremely reccomended

The home was much larger than expected and very clean.
