Very convenient location right next to the vine bridge, ideal for a very early visit or an evening stroll. Excellent food!

I had a terrible sleep the night before so I contacted the property last minute asking for an earlier checkin and they incredibly accommodating. Although the cafe and restaurant I wanted to visit were both closed (things here close very early) I came here for rest not so much adventure. The room was comfortable, the shower facilities were large and nice and the shared-living space is cozy. Thank you!

such a unique location to stay in on the island of Shikoku. The hotel itself was super cool. Rooms are very spacious. Bathroom facilities were clean. Amenities and everything on site was great. Wifi worked great. Coffee and pizza are FANTASTIC. Note everything we ate was vegetarian while here, so if meat is a must have for you, just be aware. But we loved everything we ate. The staff were also so incredibly kind and engaging with us while we were there. At first the language barrier may be hard to navigate, but they truly cared about us, our trip, and chatted with us every morning while at breakfast. :) highly recommend this place if you want something off the beaten path in a unique area notes: mt tsurugi is ~2 hr drive away, oboke gorge is 20 mins away, Nagoro scarecrow village is ~2 hrs away, kagawa ~1-1.5 hrs away

The dinner is spectacular, and they are well known for their Iya Soba (Sobakiri) that is pretty different from normal soba as it is thicker, shorter, and uses more soba flour. The shioyaki/salt grilled fish was delicious, and the yuzu sorbet they served after were great highlights in this kaiseki meal full of seasonal vegetables and ingredients. The rooms seem pretty newly renovated, and everything is clean and modern while still maintaining an older Japanese ryokan touch. Not sure if all rooms were like this, but we were given a large tatami room with a separate smaller living area and there were also 2 sinks. Perfect for a group of four to stay very comfortably while organizing luggage and packing without stress or having to climb over others to get ready. The staff were all incredibly kind and happy to see us, giving thorough explanations to meals and helping with luggage and even offering to take pictures of us in the snow. The property is also within walking distance to the vine bridge, which is where we went in the morning after check-out.

Exceptionally clean hotel, even by Japanese standards. Staff was excellent in all aspects. Overall, a high end Onsen hotel that we’re glad we stayed at.

Clean, well-designed renovation of a traditional Japanese house. A nice combination of traditional feel and modern facilities. Just 1 minute from the train station but very quiet.

The two floor apartment was spacious, very clean and provided us with all the amenities we needed. The shower and hot tub room was huge and beautiful. We loved the outdoor patio where we had coffee in the morning and drinks in the afternoon. The apartment was close to shopping and restaurants.

This home is beautiful. Access to the entire floor plan was an amazing value. This would be a great option for a traveling family. The host was extremely kind and punctual, making check-in and check-out a breeze. There is just something special about staying in a traditional home like this while exploring the Japanese countryside. You can tell the host cares a lot about maintaining the property and really earns respect and satisfaction of guests. Will stay here again if I return to Shikoku.

Location is very convenient if you want to hike it’s close to Obeki and is close enough to Mount Tsuragi and the other tourist attractions, including double vine bridge There is a washing machine, kitchenette with Parking, which makes it very convenient

We stayed the night before a half day rafting tour. The hostel is also the head off ie of go go adventures and one of the rafting instructors and his family stayed with us in the same house. The house has very much a hostel feel. Although it may have seen better days, we had a comfortable night sleep on futons in tatami rooms and the staff was very friendly.
