The place has the feeling of an old Japanese house but is well kept and has good amenities. Great for family, esp. those with children. We enjoyed the place even though when we arrived it looks like bad weather day. The next day we walked to the beach which was beautiful.

Host kindly let us get early check in at 11 am. They provide good facilities; kitchen, washing machine etc. Location; near Shimanoseki Station but a bit far from JR Otsu staion.

I fell in love with the newly renovated Spa. It was the highlight of my trip.

The hotel’s interior was stunning, complemented by a beautiful garden setting. The service level was exceptional, and the staff were highly professional, assisting with packing my bags and even handling shipment arrangements. The reception staff were also very friendly, making my stay even more enjoyable.

Tranquility, ambience, decoration

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the newly opened Kiyomizu Elite Terrace . The rooms are genuinely spacious for Kyoto, which was such a relief after staying in smaller city hotels—we could actually move around with our luggage . The location is fantastic, tucked away in a quiet Japanese courtyard yet within walking distance to Kiyomizu Temple and Kamo River . There is complimentary 24/7 coffee, juice, and water machines in the lobby. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a comfortable, peaceful base in Kyoto.

Very convenient location! It is in Kyoto Station. We had easy access to the Shinkansen, trains, and buses! The room was the most spacious we had in the three years we’ve been traveling around Japan.

The dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room was clean and well-maintained. The staff provided exceptional service.

Location was awesome - close to trains, shopping, convenient to sightseeing. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful (though a bit more variety from day to day would be better). Would stay here again for my visit to Kyoto.

It's a high-end place but it was worth every penny. Everything about it was beautiful and uplifting. The breakfast was absolutely incredible. We felt cared for at all stages. All the staff took pride in the place and in making out stay comfortable and memorable. It was a delight to come home to the room at the end of a busy day sightseeing and I slept really well.

I loved the service that was provided here! The staff was very accommodating, the food was delicious, and the room was perfect. I have a gluten allergy that most places don’t accommodate for but they went above and beyond to help me with my allergy.
