The owners were so nice and helpful in welcoming us for one night. The lodge is spectacular and offers views you can’t find anywhere else in the world. The staff is also super.

This place is pure paradise, and we're incredibly grateful to have found it. Everything was exceptional - the accommodation, the staff, the location, the views, and the activities both on the property and nearby were all 10/10. Solitaire roadhouse is hardly-miss-place for roadtrippers visiting Sesriem. It is definitely the best value for the money: Perfect position for Sesriem / Walvis Bay / Windhoek cruising. The lodge is very stylish: chain of big rooms surrounding a desert garden decorated with sukulent (cactus) flowers. In the middle of garden there is refreshing pool. Place has restaurant with good food (breakfast, dinner) and the best bakery of 1000 kms around (definitely try famous apple pie). Wifi, hot water, nice staff, etc. all this makes Solitaire worth of visit. Walvis Bay: 3,5 hours, Sesriem: 2 hours (very bad road, but doable).
