We are a family of five and stayed here for two nights on our way to Tortuguero. We couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect, right on the Saripiquí River, and the house feels brand new with chic design and top-quality materials. It feels like a boutique hotel. The terrace view is stunning, the kitchen fully equipped, and the shower excellent with hot water and a rainfall shower. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the barbecue area. Everything is thoughtfully designed and well maintained.

It was safe, clean, with a big room! Great AC, comfortable beds and strong water power in shower and a nice host that speaks good English. Close enough to the airport for an early ride.

Brother and sister run place very warm, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfast excellent and can have whatever you want. Lovely setting-quiet, and nice view.

This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Such a beautiful historic home! The hosts were gracious and kind, and the grounds were beautiful! If we return and need a place to say in the San Jose area this will be at the top of the list!

Middle of the rainforest sits their cute little wood cabin. There is not glass only mesh windows which is nice but a bit loud in the night with animals and rain. The washroom is clean with warm water shower that requires a bit of tinkering to get. Wendy and her family was so nice to us even though we only stayed a day. The location is near the Tirimbina reserve so we stayed here for the night walk. Cute dog too! Hummingbirds were right outside the cabin feasting on flowers.
