I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the hotel. It is well designed and the staff was very friendly. The room & bathroom were really clean and comfortable. I also felt really safe there which is a big deal for a solo female traveler. They were even good enough to offer to keep my bags with them until I finished some work in Galle after I checked out. Really thoughtful of them! They kept my bags safe and sound until I returned later that day to collect my bags. They even returned some earrings that I had unknowingly left in my room :)

We spent unforgettable days at Hotel SOLA with our family, and it truly felt like a little paradise. Nestled in the lush gjungle, the hotel offered a unique jungle atmosphere that we absolutely loved. The natural surroundings were full of life—monkeys, peacocks and plenty of different birds. It was peaceful, immersive, and deeply relaxing. The rooms are spacious, and beautifully designed with nature in mind. We especially appreciated the private balconies that looked out over the gardens. Our kids had the time of their lives! Between splashing around in the large pool, exploring the wide-open estate, and learning about all the local fruit trees, they were constantly engaged and excited. They even got to enjoy fresh coconuts picked straight from the trees, which was a total highlight. The food was awesome and a great combination of Sri Lankan and continental cuisine. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Overall, Hotel SOLA exceeded all of our expectations. It’s a perfect destination for families looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and create lasting memories.

ArtNEST is more than just a hotel, as you'll be staying in a space that's filled with art and lots of character. The common spaces serve as a cafe/art studio/gallery and are filled with paintings, prints and books. If you like surrounding yourself with colorful art inspiration, this is the place for you! The rooms are simple but clean, comfy (including a duvet as bedding, which is rare in Sri Lanka) and very thoughtfully decorated. Sandeepa is a lovely host - he showed us around the fort, shared pictures he took during the tour he gave, and was always quick with replying to any questions I had. And Yunee was a delight to be around, too - she was always smiling and very sweet.

We had a very wel coming stay. Our host is a friendly smart and helping guy who knows his profession. We had a nice clean room with view of the sea. Good English and very helpful without being pushy. We were happy to stay just out of the center and we could rent a scooter 20 meters further for a good price too. Will come again.

When we opened the door, it was a big wow. It felt as if we had stepped into a place you normally only see in your dreams. My family and I love to be surrounded by beauty. One of my daughters is an interior designer for hotels all over the world, and even she was completely speechless. The photos on Booking.com do not capture the true beauty of this place. Every detail is perfect. Normally, when our family checks in somewhere, we immediately go out to explore the surroundings. But after arriving at Olinda, we stayed the entire day. We played in the pool together, relaxed, lounged, and simply enjoyed being with each other in a place that gives you such a wonderful feeling. The food and drinks were, of course, of the same excellent quality. After a perfect night’s sleep in one of the four rooms we had booked, we decided to take a tuk-tuk tour. It was a joyful experience. Galle is a beautiful historic place, and the ancient Buddhist rock temple is truly worth visiting a very old, pure, and peaceful place. We celebrated New Year’s Eve in Galle and had a lovely time. Leaving Olinda was hard. We truly felt at home, wrapped in warmth created by the wonderful crew. They are present with open hearts and that is exactly what you feel in this house. We are very gratefull to be here on our Sri Lanka tour

A beautiful hotel in the perfect location right on Kabalana Beach. The staff and owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. Because of the conflict back home in the Middle East, I was unexpectedly forced to extend my stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel was fully booked, but the owners went out of their way to help me find a more affordable place nearby so I could stay in the same area. They even allowed me to use their shower facilities whenever I came back from the beach, which was incredibly thoughtful given the situation I was in. Thank you for your kindness—my stay in Sri Lanka will always be memorable not only because of its beauty, but because of the hospitality I experienced.
