Farm stays in Urzelina

What I liked the most was the space available for the clients. Large kitchen and large patio . The staff was polite, discreet and helpful. The cleanliness and the comfort of guests were a top priority for Victor who came to meet the guests several times. Very appreciated.

Gorgeous property with views of the ocean and just steps away from the coastal walking trail. The bungalows are far enough away from the road that you don’t hear any cars and just the peace and quiet of the island.

Miguel and the staff were excellent hosts and very helpful in many aspects of our trip. Everything at the property was well cared for, the kitchen was huge and well stocked, the rooms were clean, beds comfortable and shower water pressure was good. Extra touches like daily fresh bread, eggs and farm produce made you feel at home on the farm. It was amazing to wake up to epic views of Mt Pico and have access to a small private beach.

The house itself, the location, the host, everything was absolutely magnificent! The house is located in a Faja, which means that it is peaceful, quiet and surrounded by amazing nature, but it also means that there are no supermarkets nor restaurants in the area (there are available options short distance by car). The road to the location is asphalt, in very good shape, the parking is on the grass, in front of the house itself.....and the scenery from the airport to the Casa dos Vimes is spectacular. The location is the beginning point for several hiking paths, and the famous coffee plantation is just around the corner. I visited several parts of Sao Jorge, but the south part has better weather overall, and it is way more protected from the winds as opposed to the north (which is mostly farmland), and not to mention the breathtaking views over Pico mountain. Mr. Antonio, the host, is extremely responsive to all needs and an exceptional person to talk to. The house was renovated using a blend of traditional Sao Jorge elements, and modern elements, making it a very beautiful and comfortable stay. The house has a private terrace, a private bbq as well as washing machines. Mr. Antonio kindly provided all the necessary things for making a successful BBQ :) And in case the weather is not very friendly and going outside is not possible, there is a smart tv! :)
