Initially I didn't know what to think when I first got here. It takes a minute to settle in. Essentially, this is a restored ruin that took quite a bit of time to bring back to modern age. The gentleman who runs it is a host and you are living in his house with him. He's a wonderful resource for information about the area, the history of Galicia, the history of the pilgrimage. He tries very hard to make everyone at home, making coffee and introducing everyone to each other. There is no mention of this but there is a small kitchen that you can use such as a microwave and hot pot for water. In the summer, he also has a significant number of fruit trees so you can snack outside and he can show you the variety of species that has been planted. You just have to understand you're not staying in a Holiday inn, so this is not corporate stay. You're staying with a wonderful person who is doing his best to help you feel welcome. After settling in for a couple hours, I started to realize this and started to really enjoy my stay. Thank you so much for everything!
