I've stayed at several hotels in this area, and this is the best of them by a clear margin — though for unglamorous reasons. Its strengths are operational rather than cosmetic: it's simply run better than its neighbors. The location is excellent. But what actually separated it from the nearby alternatives was execution. The rooms are noticeably quieter, the wifi was fast and reliable for the whole stay, and the staff were quick and genuinely capable. When I asked for a late check-out they sorted it without fuss.

I spent one night at the Assila Hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. The welcome I received during my stay was one of the best experiences in my twenty years of traveling around the world. The reception staff was always attentive to my needs, and the facilities were excellent. The sauna, located on the 18th floor, was particularly spacious and offered a magnificent view, which I greatly appreciated. The tour of Al-Balad with the hotel staffs Abdullah Barabbaa, Adel Khalil, and Sereen Alamoudi was a great surprise; I learned a lot about the culture and heritage. I thank all the hotel staff.

Qasr Al Sharq offers an indoor pool, a wellness spa for ladies only offering organic beauty treatments and a well-equipped gym. Located on North Corniche Road, it offers elegantly decorated suites.

We had a great welcoming and very warm and sincere approach at the check-in , excellent first impression.
