A truly magical place, we had the most amazing stay. A unique small boutique hotel up in the mountains with stunning views, wonderful staff and delicious food. The manager, Eranda is so sincere and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. He took us on a walk to the waterfall in the grounds and we had a very informative talk about nature. Such a lovely man. I can't recommend Capoe House enough, it's the nicest place we have ever stayed.

This was a gem of a find! Many hotels and guest houses describe themselves as an “oasis”. This is the first time we would describe a property as a true oasis. You feel perfectly alone in the forest. You hear no street noise. You return each evening to a location of pure comfort and to the sounds of a flowing river. The cabin is well laid-out, and even above the standard for most Canadian cabins. My husband, child (4-years-old), mother and I stayed here for just over a week. The food was prepared by very skilled hands and so delicious! They were able to fully accommodate my husband’s gluten-free needs. They were very attentive to our general needs as well (I.e. carrying our large luggage, guidance on local spots to visit and travel options). Beyond that, they were kind and generous. Wish we could have stayed longer! Our most important recommendation: Take up the all inclusive option (meals). We only had breakfast and supper since each was a feast beyond any offering we have experienced before. Unbelievable value.

The entire property was beautiful - including the living area, the infinity pool with a stunning view, the room we stayed in - all of it was exceptional. The entire staff was very hospitable, especially Welles who really took care of us, and anticipated our needs and was truly such a joy to be around. We also did a cooking class with Chef Roshan and had so much fun - not only did we learn how to make delicious curries but also had an enjoyable experience. In addition, we had a tasting menu curated by Chef Isuru, which was hands down the best meal we had during our time in Sri Lanka. Overall, Kasun and the entire team went above and beyond to make our stay truly unforgettable.

Everything we experienced from the moment we stepped out of the car was exceptional. This is one of the most (if not the most) stunning views in Ella. The hotel is a 10 min drive from main town but feels like you're in another location altogether. Very peaceful, amazing design and it's a new hotel so it is extremely clean and kept spotless by the staff. The staff cannot do enough for you - they are attentive, warm and so lovely that they spoiled the rest of the hotels we stayed at for us because no one else could compare. We've stayed at a few hotels in Ella during previous trips and will always only return here now. They have a masseuse named Vinodini who literally made our trip. One of the best foot reflexology sessions I've ever had; such a treat since we were exhausted. Everyone in our group had different massages and were raving about her. The hotel doesn't have a pool or gym but everything else more than makes up for it. We were upgraded due to availability but it is absolutely worth spending the extra bit if you can to upgrade to the silver tip room. Even the shower is upgraded and earns the extra charge.

Truly the staff is the highlight of this beautiful property. The restaurant service, the housekeeping, everyone is lovely and top notch. I love the room, this is the 5th or more time I've stayed here over the years and it keeps its quality, the rooms are beautiful, the views are absolutely incredible and again, the staff is the best!
