JapanGlen greeted us warmly and allowed us to check in early so we could drop off our bags while we went out to the Fortress. The house is absolutely lovely--exactly what we were looking for on our Canadian countryside journey! It's very well maintained and the furniture is out of a movie from 70 years ago. Also, the breakfast was delicious and far exceeded expectations! They adjusted for my wife (vegetarian) as well.

United StatesThe room was great, had a great view, comfy bed. Only thing I would caution is that our room was on the third floor with no elevator. We solved the issue by only bring up a small bag and leaving our large suitcases in the car. Hands down best included breakfast! Louisbourg was a beautiful little town, probably one of my favorites. Fortress of Louisbourg was fantastic. We had the privilege of attending the Celtic Colours concert at the Fortress. Amazing!! On the way there, we stopped at Louisbourg Lighthouse Coastal Trail which was recently completed after Hurricane Fiona destroyed it in 2022.

Bit disappointed there was no choice for breakfast but a set breakfast also no fruit juice was disappointing, location was very central for Louisbourg but the exterior of the guest house could use a bit of a makeover, inside however was very smart.

A wonderful location.
The owners & staff were very friendly and helpful….for example we arrived slightly after the cafe had finished serving however they provided a light lunch.
The room was a good size , well appointed and attractive.Very clean.
The restaurant was very good.

We loved the rooms, they’re very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The property is in the perfect location, overlooking the ocean and you can also see the fortress. The restaurants on site are also very great and have high quality meals.
