The room was very nice with lovely bedding. A shower would have been easier for us as the tub was hard to get up from and there was no way to hang the hand held shower.

An old building brought up to modern standards. Very pleasant staff. Breakfast was very good. Bar is small, but we were there in February and in the summer it might be outside and less limited. The story of the place is great- it used to be a boys boarding school closed for a long time and a local guy bought it from the city and brought it up to modern standards. The first night we were there an alumnus (a local) was there with his wife for his anniversaire. He remembered it fondly, though he said the bath water was always cold.....

Staff were welcoming and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, Hotel location was very central to the town and activities, as well as historically relevant. I loved it and would/will undoubtably book again.

Exceptional location! Great place to start visits to all the D-day beaches, Bayeux, Caen, Honfleur, Deauville. The hotel was PERFECT ! Rooms were large. Staff and Manager/owner were very nice and helpful. All the area belonging to the hotel was very clean and perfect. The food at the restaurant was delicious with a great price/quality ratio. Free parking availlble. Free wifi.

The location was simply unbeatable! How could it be, barely fifty steps from Gold beach and its' Mulberry harbor relics; and probably as many to local restaurants and coffee shops! The aeronautical artifacts from the invasion and the era writ large on display throughout the property are nothing short of amazing; immersive, and replete. If you want a warm friendly place to lay your head at night while exploring this profoundly beautiful and solemn region, you will be hard pressed to find a better place than D-Day Aviators.
