Had a great conversation with the owner over breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and overlooked the beautiful harbor. I had to check in late because I caught the late ferry from Islay, and the owner was very accommodating.

The building is absolutely gorgeous and feels like home. The host provided us with everything to make our stay comfortable. Quality bed linens, fluffy white towels and robes made it feel like a resort stay. It is a great location just minutes from the Kennacraig ferry in a charming town that has everything you need.

Everything about this hotel was perfect – the service, the staff, and the atmosphere. Highly recommended! The food was amazing and staff were very friendly. We needed to get to Kennacraig Port early in the morning but couldn’t find a taxi. One of the staff members went above and beyond and drove me there! Thanks to their help, I made it to Islay without any problems. Truly amazing hospitality!

I really appreciated the Youth Hostel for offering a breakfast service. The space where we could eat and clean our dishes was kept very well stocked and checked up on in case of needs for refills. The folks running the Youth Hostel were just really helpful and accommodating. If I ever meet someone coming to Arran, I’ll certainly recommend they stay here.

The location was perfect for our travel needs to the Bute Highland games. Walkable to the city and local restaurants and pubs, extremely convenient for arriving by ferry. The beds were comfortable and overall the flat was spacious and clean. Definitely would recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in the area.
