The location, the view of the lake, the modern and spacious room, the friendly staff, most of the buffet. The hotel seems to have two categories of rooms - the old ones, still stuck a bit in the past... where some of the criticism on this website apply. and the new ones, having all the comfort and perks you would expect from an hotel in this price range - I had one of the latter ones, and was very happy with my stay.

Good variety of food for dinner and breakfast. Great location that the hotel is located in the middle of Akan lake which is very accessible to many attractions. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

La Vista was such a beautiful location just outside of Akan Onsen. The rooms were calm and spacious with an amazing outlook over the river. The food was outstanding as well
