4-Star Hotels in Beppu

I stayed at AMANEK Beppu YULA‑RE for 4 nights during my time in Beppu, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. The biggest strength of this hotel is its strategic location. It is close to Beppu Station (train station) and the bus terminal, making it very easy to travel to various attractions. From here, I could conveniently visit Yufuin, Beppu Ropeway, Oita, Kyushu Wildlife Park, Takasakiyama Park, and many other destinations. The hotel is also surrounded by food options, so finding meals was never a problem. A Lawson convenience store is located very close to the hotel, making it easy to buy water or snacks at any time. The room I stayed in was quite spacious and featured tatami flooring, which added comfort and a pleasant Japanese atmosphere. Another nice touch was the free welcome drink, available all day until around 10 PM, which was very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The most memorable part of my stay was the hotel’s complimentary bath (onsen) facilities for guests. I used the onsen almost every night on the 14th floor, where I could enjoy a beautiful view of Beppu city while soaking in hot water. It was a truly relaxing and unforgettable experience. The hotel also has a rooftop swimming pool, although I did not get the chance to use it during my stay.

Amazing stay in Beppu! The sea view and private onsen in the room were absolutely stunning, even better than the photos. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming as well. Highly recommend!

This was probably the best place we stayed in Japan. We booked the room with the private onsen that looked out onto the ocean, it was absolutely stunning. The traditional breakfast was so beatiful, very different to our usual breakfast but nonetheless delicious, you have to try it at least once and i'm glad we did. The staff were very helpful with looking after our bags before we checked in. We smashed all the Jigoku (hells) in the afternoon and had a blast. Our only regret is not staying in beppu longer.

The Hotel is less than 5 mins walk from the station. Many great onsens within walking distance. The place was clean and always changed new towels and tooth brush,razors,etc almost daily. Staff was friendly and always greeted you when you come or leave.

They serve good dinner and breakfast. Room was moderately spacious but comfortable. Would return for another stay in the future.

The view is amazing. The room can fit a family of 5. My kids enjoyed the onsen. The provided yukata and japanese slippers are some nice personal touch.

If I comeback to Beppu, I’ll stay here again for sure!!! The massage chair is the most favorite one! It has everything you need inside.

Everything! The view was great.

At first we so worried it’s going to be like a typical “ love hotel “ type of room because it’s located next to one. However once we enter the room, we were so surprised to see how clean and spacious it was. It wasn’t what we expected. It also has a small working space. Plus it has a nice little onsen at the top floor which you can enjoy the view of beautiful views of Beppe town at night.

The service, food and everything

Food was great. Service was fantastic. It's a small service team but they are very helpful and very accommodating. I actually ended up not leaving the Ryokan hotel until I checked out because there was a lot to do with the onsen, eating and the drinking sake and chatting with the staff. Highly recommend this place!

Very comfy and elegant. The public bath is amazing! Even though a few things feel a bit dated, it’s still a wonderful experience overall.

Resort feel. Very helpful staff. Massive rooms for Japan standards - very nice to have a tatami room! The omakase dinner in room is a must have experience. Delicious! Happy hour is a nice bonus.

The room was amazing. The tatami room was so cool and the outdoor onsen was so pretty and perfect. There were so many amenities that I didn't expect that made the stay extra special.

We had an amazing time at this spa. The employees were friendly and helpful. There were so many free extras it was just a joy. Free sake and highball every night. Free tea and coffee 24/7. Free snacks, desserts and drinks throughout the day. The two different spas we experienced were very clean and comfortable.

The whole facility is elegant and the room is comfortable.
