I booked this hotel for my parents celebrating their 50th anniversary and they absolutely loved their stay. The onsen was quiet and they didn’t see anyone else and they said their meals were so beautifully plated and delicious. They want to stay here for all of their special occasions!

Amazing location if you're looking for a getaway from busy tokyo and I absolutely adored how lovely and attentive the staff were. They tried to premeditate any needs we may have had, very similar to aman level care.

It has a shuttle service @Nasushiobara station to the hotel. During my check out, I forgot my my bag at the hotel and the bus went back to the hotel for me to pick it up. They have a great Japanese breakfast. For dinner, I would advice you to reserve earlier.

Our stay at Itamuro Onsen was truly exceptional. Words can hardly capture how special this place is. Surrounded by exquisite nature, beautifully curated furniture and ceramics, a sophisticated art library, and gardens designed by renowned artist Kishio Suga, it was a memorable experience. The onsens were perfect for the relaxation you need after spending some days in a busy city like Tokyo. A special thanks to Koki, who kindly showed us around Suga's museum and shared insights about the special project that is Itamuro. We're already looking forward to returning soon!

Shionoyu Onsen Rengetsu is located in Nasushiobara, in the Shiobara Onsen-kyo district. There's a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, and free private parking is available.
