The location is stunning! We were here before in 2016 and the hotel recently had a major upgrade and looks great! Friendly staff, nice restaurant. Lots of cozy places to sit in and outside the hotel. We had a big room with beautiful river view.

The apartment was nice with enough space for the 4 of us. The location is awesome.
Please be aware if you rent an apartment, you have to rent linen or bring it yourself. You have to give the hotel a call to reserve this.

We only stayed for one night, on our way to Kristiansand, but it is certainly worthwhile staying longer there, because the hotel is beautiful, comfortable and modern, and there are many hiking tracks close by. Breakfast was great.
