AustraliaThis is a beautiful, atmospheric hotel with very interesting history, having been the lodgings for Dambusters Squadron 617 during WW2. The grounds are gorgeous and the hotel has been well maintained inside - the original staircase is lovely and there is a drawing room with a fireplace for gathering. Ask to see the original bar, which contains documents, photos and memorabilia from that era. The meals were served in the large dining room and were wonderful - lovely, old fashioned service and exceptional food. Parking is on site and there is plenty of it. We are planning to return and stay longer when next we visit the UK.

we stayed in room 7 of the lodge which was a great size, the bar, breakfast and dinner staff were very friendly and attentive and location was a lovely setting opposite the golf course whilst. the property offered pleasant garden areas. we were located in the ground floor of the lodge which offered double door access the garden which was a benefit.

The location was good as using the golf course. The breakfast was reasonable but not a lot left when you came down later 8-8:30.
