Guest Houses in El Cocuy

In short: Amazing!! 🤩 Stay here if you are visiting El Cocuy! Long Version: Our 5 months South America trip is coming to an end, we‘ve stayed at many many places, and this was for sure the one we will remember the most. We have never before experienced such caring hosts, we were really treated like family. Upon arrival we got quite sick. Firstly, it wasn’t a problem for to postpone our hiking trips (we booked the package offered by the host, Manuel. By far the best price we could find!) which we really appreciated. Secondly, Marry cooked all kinds of things for us to make us feel better, told us what to get from the pharmacy, made juices and just took care of us in every way possible. ❤️ When feeling better, we did two hikes wich we really enjoyed. We don’t speak Spanish, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Actually, that was also something we really liked about this place: Marry insisted on talking Spanish with us and we only used google translate when necessary. It was hard, but also fun - and our Spanish significantly improved during these five days. 🤓 thanks for that!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa del Musico. The host was kind enough to prepare a warm breakfast before dawn so we could leave for the hike on time.
