Helen and her husband and all the staff were all so welcoming as we looked like drowning rats from our rainy hike on the coast to coast trail. The seating at the pub was very nice and cozy/relaxing with a back area. Dinner was very good.

Great Pub & Hotel. Run by Emily & Claire. Made to feel very welcome on every visit. Staff are great friendly & outgoing. Nothing is ever too much trouble . From the moment you walk through the door to leaving it's a lovely relaxing stay. Rooms are lovely & comfortable with everything you need. Food is lovely as well, very plentiful & reasonably priced. We love visiting the Wheatsheaf. And we can't wait to visit again in January. Keep up the good work we would not stay anywhere else
