The host is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The area is charming, and historic. There are a lot of historic sites to see in the surrounding area, and many great onsens. I’d love to come back.

Great guesthouse, about 10min from Ueda station and 15min from the castle ruins. The entrance is through the bar/cafe, there is a common room open until 11pm. The staff was super nice. We stayed in a dormitory. The beds are good, but the room is small, it was really difficult to organise ourselves with the door closed.

Very quiet and secluded place with a café and rest area on the first floor. Was very clean. The Quad room is actually a quad room, and not a dormitory so I didn't have to share it with others even though i booked it for a single person.

It was very clean and the manager was so kind. Matsushiro is a bit far from nagano’s center but you can get to this guesthouse by one bus from nagano station. Which takes 45 mins. And guesthouse is only 1 minute walking from bus stop

The place located in a beautiful surrounding which walking distance to the station. The owner is very friendly and met some wonderful travelers. You can find an apple farm and a highway service area near to the guesthouse and the service station sells fresh fruits.
