Zodiak is one of those rare places where you feel genuinely welcomed from the very first moment. We stayed for three nights to celebrate our 20th anniversary, and the whole experience felt warm, personal, and truly special. The three ladies who run the hotel are remarkable. They embody real hospitality – they are attentive without ever being intrusive, and you can feel how much they genuinely care about their guests. Our room was spotless, bright, airy, and extremely comfortable. Every little detail had been thought of: a safe, beach towels, a small fridge with welcome drinks and snacks, both AC and a fan, perfectly ironed silky bed sheets, and a large, very comfy bed. Nothing felt random or improvised – everything was arranged with care and intention. The location is ideal, just a short walk from beautiful Silent Beach and close to a good selection of restaurants and beach bars, yet it still feels peaceful and relaxed. The absolute highlight of our stay, however, was the breakfast. Each morning we were served a generous, three-course, homemade breakfast that was both delicious and beautifully presented. It truly felt like starting the day eating like royalty. ♡ Many thanks to the wonderful team at Zodiak for making our anniversary so memorable. ♡ We sincerely hope to return one day.

We spent 4 nights with my partner here. We absolutely loved it! The host was sweet and helpful with all our needs. The room is specious and comfortable with all the necessities: good AC, fridge, closet for clothes, kettle, etc. Our room was upstairs and the view was also beautiful. We were helped with tuktuk and also scooter rent. The beach is just in front of the accommodation but not too far is also a more beautiful beach which is called Silent beach. Walking distance there was an amazing restaurant Aga surf view with delicious and high quality food. A cheaper option was just cross the road in front of the accommodation a little local restaurant. I am picky with food but I can tell there the food was also super delicious. I can totally recommend this place and if ever I want to come back to Tangalle area I will choose again the same place.

The place was amazing — super chill and relaxing. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the vibe is perfect for unwinding. The beach nearby is incredible, great for surfing and exploring all the little hidden spots around. The host was absolutely wonderful — really welcoming and helpful with everything.

Great accommodation if you are in Tangalle. Hotel A very well-kept very new hotel close to the Goyambokka Beach 2 mins walk ,and of course Tharaka and Shalika Wonderful friendly and helpful Laundry service and room cleaning available on request, excellent breakfast Serving to our room veranda . Rooms are Luxury very good bed and furniture with daily drinking water provided and Tea coffee available in room Complimentary supplies Tea,coffee,suger,and Fresh millk and Great location for the couples and families Highly recommend We really enjoyed our stay here.

Such a great place to stay if you want a chill yet still social atmosphere just a few mins walk from Hiriketiya village and beach. The rooms are super nice, clean and spacious, the garden is lovely and has a mango tree (fresh fruit is shared for free!). Most of all Angus, Matty & the dogs make this such a warm environment with a community feel. Love what they have created. Thanks for having me!

It was such a cool vibe, it is one of the best places to stay in hiriketya! The food is great and the pool is really nice, it’s on the beachfront so was perfect overall.

Everything was so great at Salt. The staff, especially Charlie and Shanka were the kindest and most helpful people and Charlie‘s 7am vinyasa classes are a true energy boost in the morning. The breakfast menu only has 4 dishes but those four dishes are delicious and you can eat them every day without getting bored. Hiriketiya hay was beautiful even in the rainy season, though we unfortunately only got 2 sunny days and lots of rain otherwise (obviously to be expected during monsoon). We will definitely be back!

Really nice and friendly owner taking care of everything (also organized a safary for us. Brought local tea, when kid was coughing etc). We felt very welcome. It is very small home accomodation type place with only 2 family rooms. Rooms were clean and new. Air conditioner worked well. Nice jungle and nature voices around, quiet. Short walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Breakfast was by the sea (which was very nice) and basic with eggs, fruits and coffee. We liked the beach as it was not overcrouded and we could use hotel sun loungers. The beach did not went deep quickly, so it was safe, if not to go too far. It was great to swim with small surfboards you could rent on beach. Just to note, I also visited Silent beach, what I do not recommend as it had very rough waves and went deep quickly. Sand part was very narrow although palms were very nice. If you are looking for small family touch accomodation then this is for you.

I booked this property based on a review written by a family similar to ours. And the open air bathroom. We are a family of 4 with a 5 yr old girl and 2 year old boy. We rented the large family suite and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Less then 5 mins from the beach, large comfortable double beds with mosquito nets, a shared kitchenette, large comfortable bathroom with hot water and AC. The owners were such lovely accommodating people. The best part was the location. Hiritekiya is an Instagramy digital nomady hotspot, and Jungle Escape is located in the less developed part of the beach. So we were close to everything but in a more tranquil environment.

Calm, clean, quiet place in Tangalle. Very friendly host and his family. Big bathroom, good shared terrace, where you can sit and relax on the table with garden view. Comfortable bed. Good air condition.
