The room was big and bed comfy, not too soft as in many hotels. Stuff was cool and breakfast was good. It was nice to have some water and washing products welcoming. Big reading room and park and dining area.

Hotel really surprised us with the quality of the building. Everything is freshly built, room was super comfy, common areas well equipped and breakfast really good. And of course the benefit to roam around the zoo without all the crowds.

Quick replies to all queries and positive responses. It was easy to find the property and someone met us to let us in. The cottage was very clean and well presented. The caretaker showed us around, explained how to use the fireplace and the sauna, and gave us good general information. The cottage was reasonably warm when we checked in (outside temp was -20) but I don't think the central heating had been on long, as it was warmer the next day. The kitchen had everything we needed. The surrounding area was beautiful, with the frozen lake a few hundred meters from the house and forest walks near by. The caretaker cleared the snow the next day to allow us to drive to Cesis.

The host/staff was very welcoming. Great location - near the biggest tourist spots, but quiet during the nights (nothing troubled our sleep). Nice river view. Very delicious meals at the restaurant.
