Location is key here. Close to two beaches and two wonderful walking tracks as well. only 2 min by car to Russell Township itself and about an hour on foot (one can combine two lovely shaded walking tracks for that). Russell's Long Beach (another fab swimming beach) is only about 5 min by car. The room is spacious and has all the amenities one would need for a short or longer stay (sorry no kitchen but there are plenty of good restaurants in Russell). Tapeka is the quiet suburb of Russell and if one is lucky one can view kiwi if going out at night.

Just a 8-minute walk from Paihia Beach and 0.4 miles from Paihia Harbour, Vienna Motel features accommodations in Paihia, with a shared lounge.

This is the second time I have stayed there. As with the first time everything was great. The proprietors go to all lengths to help. Place is always immaculate and condiments and snacks/ continental breakfast were perfect for me. I thoroughly recommend this place to stay at - I will be back again.

Sleep with the Kiwis in Doves Bay is a recently renovated guest house in Kerikeri where guests can make the most of the garden and terrace.
