Carla was gracious and helpful from the moment we made the reservation through the end of our too-short stay. She greeted us with such enthusiasm and compassion that she cheered even my partner's grizzled, road-weary spirit. The house is as charming as its proprietor, with a comfy bed, excellent heater for the cold night, and a view onto the small square lined on one side by Evora's medieval aqueduct. The location can't be beat -- where else can you stay inside a medieval walled city, minutes' walk from a gorgeous cathedral and cloisters, Roman temple ruins, chapel of bones, and some of the best food and pastries you can find?

This property is located in the countryside on a 5-minute drive out of Évora, one of Portugal’s most historic cities and the famed Roman Temple.

Welcome to quinta do cano, a small piece of oasis in the era of Évora. This charming place is full with life both in all of the amazing flowers in the garden and with all the cute animals on the property. I had a wonderful stay there and the owner are so welcome and helpful. I would definitely come back.
