After a long hiking day, my boyfriend and I enjoyed to have this accommodation to rest for the night. We found a great last minute deal and are satisfied with our stay. The quality we received for the price we paid was great! I was surprised at how nice of a balcony we had in our room, and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy it during the day. The staff was very friendly during check-in and check-out.

Vila Nova Milfontes is a lovely little seaside town and we’re glad we found this wonderful B&B which is just a few steps away from cafes, shops and restaurants. Room is simple and great value for money. Parking is free and easy, just outside the B&B. The beach is about 10mins walk away and the lighthouse (great place for sunset) another 15mins.

The modern bathroom. Excellent shower. Nice and friendly owner who took time to give some recommendations. No breakfast at the hotel but free coffee at the backery next door for hotel guests.

It was an excellent discovery and an experience that we will not forget. The starting highlight is Silvia, who gave us a very friendly welcoming and helped us with delight with our wishes. We had a wonderful sleep with no noises and excellent beds, including an extra proper bed, replacing a sofa bed. The space with the pool and the jacuzzi just made our experience unforgettable, with breathtaking views over the river and all the nature around. Pictures are very good but cannot show the sounds and smell of the little paradise there. It has a good big cooling fridge. Soap, shampoo and gel from Rituals. We discovered that some improvements in the house have been made which make some comments in Booking invalid. This shows to me the high focus on the customer and their willingness to improve. For instance, our house 1) had all the windows (6 windows) with inner wooden shutters that allow full dark, 2)the shower had a glass instead of a curtain, 3)the sofa bed was replaced by a proper wonderful bed. Breakfast is wonderful highlighting award-winning cheese, delicious fresh cheese, dried jam, freshly made scramble eggs at a very calm place. The view from hammock at the courtyard towards the orange field and the forest is amazing.

Fantastic accommodation. Lewis was so helpful and informative. Spacious, clean room with everything we could need. A short walk to beaches, restaurants, and shops. We would gladly stay here again.

We had a very good experience. The staff waited for us when we had a late check in and were very keen to help us find parking. Really appreciated that they were dog friendly. We had a little balcony which was also cozy. More importantly everything was nice and clean.

The shower could clean Judas, steal the humbug from Scrooge. Also loved the clothing line outside. Washed my hiking clothes in the sink then threw em on the line and was wicked clean for the next day of the Fisherman’s.

The location is very good, secluded but easy to get to Vilanova de Milfontes

We had an amazing time. Monica made our stay so special. She made us dinner reservations, a picnic to take on our hike and was so welcoming. Homemade breakfast was a highlight as were the beautiful views. Highly recommend! Accommodation was large, clean and had everything we needed. Family of 5 with little kids-this was their favorite stop on our Portuguese holiday. The hike to the river, the donkey, the tree swing, the pool.

Big room, new and clean with a private terrace. Nice staff. Beautiful pool to relax after hiking on the Fisherman’s trail.

The place is amazing and very close to beaches and other locations by car. We’ve been treated as family members by the staff (human and pet, more on that further down). Suzana made the most amazing snacks for us! There were days we didn’t went to lunch out and we simply bought some salads on the market and asked for the utensils. We were told to make use of everything and anything we needed. They have also some bicycles to use and go around town as needed. Then even if you’re not won over by the people, there’s “Chico” the resident rescued cat that strolls around the place. He’s very social and friendly and it will melt your heart! It’s definitely a place to return to, no doubt about it in my mind.
