The house was spacious, situated at the best location. We had warm water to shower every time we needed. It was quiet everytime we needed a rest yet close enough when you need to have social interaction. The staff were all amazingly good. Chiku, The Chef and house keeper were all very helpful and kind. I highly recommend this place.

I have visited Zanzibar before and stayed at a few hotels (large and small) and this is by far my favorite hotel, my kids and I did not want to leave. It was a hidden gem! The staff were very friendly, the owners were always available and very sweet and kind, the food was the best in Zanzibar. It’s a very quiet and lovely getaway. The beach felt like a private beach away from the overbearing Masai and tourists. The hotel was very cozy, authentic and unique. The rooms were spacious, the balcony was stunning and watching the sunrise every day was beautiful, AC was working perfectly, rooms was always clean and they clean twice a day. If you want to relax.. this is the place to stay! The owners and staff quickly became our family. Thank you for the most beautiful stay, we will be back again! Thank you Milo, Max, Lena, Frank, Michael, Hamed, and Rahma.

The property was at an excellent location and Roxana, the host was super flexible and helpful. She advised us on many many things from the airport transfer to arranging tours and restaurants to visit as well. Even though breakfast was the same every day (toast, eggs, fruit salad) it was always substantial and tasty. The beach is very close with lots of places (hotels, restaurants) to visit and even spend the day at. There is a dog and a cat at the property both being extremely friendly as well. We would certainly go back here if we were to visit Zanzibar again!

We enjoyed everything about the guesthouse: relaxed atmosphere, wonderful homemade food, access to the beach, safety, cleanliness, hospitality, also it is a very cozy and nice looking home. Margaret knows a lot about the island and local culture, and cares about supporting the community. We liked that the guesthouse is far from the touristic areas, though you can have any excursion from there upon your interests. Zanzibari curries were delicious, lobster and seafood barbecue was awesome. We went to sunset sailing once and took a trip for swimming with dolphins, we were lucky to see a big group of them! If we come back to Zanzibar on holidays, we don’t need to look for another place to stay, for sure. Thank you Mags 🩷

Host was really responsible. Room is clean. Interior is beautifully designed. We loved our personal terrace. It was nice to have a breakfast there. Shared kitchen is fully equipped. Few steps from white sand beach with amazing views. BTW Village is too small. Too few restaurants. There are no supermarkets at all. The closest one is in Paje. This is perfect place for short stay in that part of island. I would definitely come beck to this calm place for few days.

We staid at Villa Lala that belongs to the same owner therefore, we end up spending most of our time at Poa Poa (restaurant) and pool Villa Lala - the room number 1 is superb! Initially we got to number 2 (smaller in size and different setup). We got transferred to the room 1 (due to some issue with toilet) but what we discovered - room N1 was for sure Superior. It worth 💯 to pay little more but get this room! Wardrobe is soooo specious, layout is perfect 🤩 and I love its interior design more. You will have shared kitchen - to fix tea or coffee for yourself or sometime we kept some fruits in the fridge ☺️ Next door to Villa Lala you will have Poa Poa restaurant with the best food! Sooo good and good value for money. I was having grilled octopus with grilled veggies every single day 😁 soooo good! Great spot for pics as well 📸🤳 Staff is cool and caring! Good place to chill and relax Big thanks to John 🫶🏻 Highly recommended! 🌟💯
