United KingdomWe were initially a bit underwhelmed by the town and the last few 100m to the accommodation didn't lift our hopes but what a great place. Our room at least had windows on two sides: pleasant views, fresh air and not overlooked. The bed was comfortable, enough storage, a nice modern bathroom with good shower. Oh and a shared living room if you needed it. Yes a couple of 100m to the restaurants but for us a good compromise for the views.
ps even the town grew on us

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Santa Filomena. The room was quiet and spotlessly clean. Great location! The hostess was very friendly and made me feel very welcome. The price-quality ratio is excellent. It is surprising the hotel only has one star--it deserves more. No significant downsides to mention. Highly recommend!

Stayed here for 2 nights during my Camino. Manuel is a great host; I had transferred my backpack to the pension and he made sure to put it in my room before I arrived, very kind. The place has a lot of character and the amenities are great, such as the kitchen. The room was very clean and the bed very nice. The bathroom was a bit small, but a great shower. Location is awesome, right in the center of the city and close to the Camino.

This was an AMAZING stay. The whole building is so well decorated, clean, spacious, and in a great location! While it is about a 15 minute walk from the town's centre, I quite enjoyed the quiet setting it provided us. The host was also super nice and arranged our taxi to the airport at the end of our stay. I especially loved the decoration in the rooms :)

A comfortable clean and quaint place to stay right in the centre of historic Santiago a stones throw from the Compostela office and the magnificent Cathedral. Despite being perfectly located for bars, restaurants and the bustling city, this hostal managed to offer a quiet and calm place to rest. Perfect for pilgrims on the Camino.

The pension was on the main street on the way into town which was welcomed after a long walk from Portomarin. The rooms are quiet and extremely clean. The host was very friendly in the morning and we signed his guest book. Toast and a cappuccino for two was 7 EUR.
