We recently had the pleasure of staying at Half Gate Villa in Gaula, Madeira, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the very warm welcome by Hendrique to the exceptional quality of the property, everything reflects care, taste and attention to detail. The villa is near-new, beautifully designed and offers a level of comfort that truly makes it feel like a home away from home. With three luxurious bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, elegant living spaces, and a superb outdoor area including a heated swimming pool and BBQ, the property is perfectly suited for both relaxation and entertaining. For anyone looking for a high-end stay in Madeira, I can wholeheartedly recommend Half Gate Villa. A truly excellent host and an exceptional property.

We LOVED staying here. What a dream! So relaxing to hangout by the pool with your own sauna and steam room! The fire and blankets were a nice cozy touch and the rooms were so beautiful The design and decor of the house was so nice ! The view and location were great. We rented a car and it was a quick 7 min drive to the airport. Absolutely recommend staying here and we will be back! Thank you João!

Loved the size of the property for my 4 adult size kids and myself and my husband. I loved the location over the snack bar - coffee was excellent and very reasonable prices . Loved the location close enough to walk to Santa Cruz and a slightly longer walk to Machico. Host was very friendly and helpful

I absolutely recommend this place. The owner is kind, respectful, and available. The place is gorgeous and VERY clean. You will be amazed by the beautiful surroundings and views. You also have parking available. I would stay there if I go again.

Thank you very much for hosting us at your property. It´s located around 15 minutes from Funchal airport and you are even able to see planes from property. House has everything as is described at article. We were using all 3 bedrooms including kitchen which is fully equipped. Communication with owner was done in really professional way. Even we needed some advice, we asked and response was within couple of minutes. For us it was really good experience and we enjoyed this stay fully.

The apartment was super clean, peaceful and quiet place, nice and helpful owner, oh, and the view from the terrace was beautiful.

Identical to what you get in pictures, very kind hosts. Helped us a lot with our check in and check out, only downfall is that it’s a little isolated. If you have a car rented or wouldn’t mind paying for an uber/bolt to go back and forth then it’s PERFECT.

We had an incredible time staying at this villa! The location is unbeatable just a short drive from the airport, and it’s so convenient with local stores nearby. Funchal is only about 15 minutes away, so we had easy access to all the attractions while enjoying the peace and privacy of the villa. The highlight, without a doubt, is the view. The property offers breathtaking panoramic views that truly take your breath away perfect for both morning coffee and evening sunsets. A special mention to the host great communication throughout our stay. Magda were quick to respond and made everything so easy, ensuring we had a smooth and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this villa for anyone visiting Madeira!
