I had a long layover but opted for out of Airport experience and booked a hotel in the Airport zone, one night had to be conveniently located near Airport, this hotel fit the bill. Best part was the breakfast and the staff, especially Li Hongying, she went out of her way to explain in English and when lost for words used translation app. Great service and staff.

Holiday Inn Express Xiamen Lushan is a 10-minute drive from Yuandan Lake. It provides modern rooms with free wired internet. Lianhualukou Metro Station (Line 1) is a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
