Homestays in Palaiochora

The room was modest and a little old-fashioned, but everything worked just as it should. The owner was really friendly and recommended a lovely restaurant, one of my best dinners in Crete. The terrace was large and perfect for relaxing in the evening. I'd definitely go back.

Nice people, great location, great rooms

Wish I could have stayed here longer. Great location 2 blocks from the bus stop/"station." Zillions of restaurants along the nearby seafront. Young Nikolas was beyond a perfect Greek host. Nice breakfast included.

My wife wasn’t feeling well so the cook volunteered to make a special herbal tea for her which seemed to help. Free breakfast to order a block away.

We stayed here with my mom for one night during our trip through southern Crete, and we were pleasantly surprised. Honestly, after seeing the photos, we didn’t have many expectations, but the reality was much better. The room was spotless—freshly whitewashed walls, everything clean and tidy, including the bathroom, which was well-kept and pleasant to use. Even though the room was small, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed: dishes, kitchen utensils, fridge, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning, all working perfectly. The surroundings were beautiful—stepping outside, you are immediately among olive trees, with a lovely and peaceful view. The location is also very convenient: just 10 minutes’ walk to the center, yet still quiet and calm at night. The hostess was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful with tips. It was also just nice meeting her and feeling her warm hospitality. In the morning, we enjoyed breakfast on our balcony with our own food, and it was such a peaceful way to start the day. Overall, we really enjoyed both the stay and Paleochora itself. It was a wonderful experience.

Location was great, literally two minutes walking to the ferry. The owner was super sweet, and despite me not speaking Greek and her not speaking English we managed to get acquainted and she even told me a bit about her life. The place was spotless.

Very cute apartment with nice view and balcony in very charming village. And very, very kind host Eleni. She was there for everything we needed. Few minutes walk from village center, restaurants. Few minutes walk from really nice beach. We are in love with Paleohora, we will definitely come again. ♥️
