If you're ever in Medan, this place is highly recommend. Clean, comfortable, hospitable host and good location outside the city center. Value for money as well.

Would highly recommend Roemah 28. Comfy snuggly beds, clean facilities, towels, shampoos, toilet paper all provided, friendly staff, good food and great coffee selection. Even the stairwell landings and hall had furniture, painting and antique decor, flower arrangements. Street walking distance to central shopping. Had a beautiful ambience with retro vintage decor throughout and nice courtyard for outdoor eating. Pizza cart and Vespa collection. Felt like we were in quaint Italian cafe scene. Sorry to say Im not staying in Medan again on travels otherwise we would be back.

K77 Backpackers - Jungle Tours is located in Medan, just 1.4 miles from Medan Grand Mosque and 1.6 miles from Maimun Palace. This guest house offers a terrace.

The place is very clean, cheap (good value) and the owners are very friendly and helpful. I felt a little sorry for them, because the place was basically empty. I think it has potential, it is not a bad place. Definitely very clean, which is not common in hostels like that.
