Homestays in Senaru

Owned by a very welcomed family, I had a very pleasant stay.

I stayed at Tatasya Homestay in Senaru and they were incredible from start to finish. They helped me plan and execute my Mount Rinjani trek and made everything smooth and stress-free. They held my bags while I hiked, arranged a car ride to Kuta after my trek, and even welcomed me back with fresh coconuts. After the hike, they let me shower and rest in a room before heading out, which was such a blessing after three days in the mountains. The hospitality here is top-notch, super warm, helpful, and kind people. That alone makes this place worth staying at. One small downside was that they didn’t mention the hot springs wouldn’t be hot because the lake was too high during rainy season. Also, I did the 3-day/2-night trek, and while it was beautiful, it was pretty brutal. On the second day, you summit at sunrise, hike down to the lake, then up the other side of the crater, it’s a really tough push. I’m not sure the extra day is worth it unless you’re super set on seeing the lake. If you're looking for value and a challenging but more manageable hike, the 2-day/1-night trek might be the better choice. Overall though, I 100% recommend Tatasya Homestay if you're heading to Rinjani. They took such good care of me, and I’m grateful for everything they did.

Didi and his wife are 2 amazing people, always willing to help and giving good suggestions. Room is clean, spacious, hot shower works efficiently. The guesthouse is right on the city center of Senaru. Breakfast is really good. Bed is really comfy.

It was hard leaving this place! The area is quiet at night, close to the waterfalls and the city center, the rooms have everything you need to be comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and Ahdi and his wife are wonderful hosts who went way above and beyond to make sure our experience in Senaru was amazing (and it absolutely was). Never have I felt so at home in a local community, thank you guys so much for having us! 10/10 recommend staying here.

Homestay super cuidado e organizado pelo Ardi, que foi sempre muito simpático e prestativo! Na segunda estadia, o chuveiro do quarto que fui hospedado não estava funcionando, mas o Ardi gentilmente me disponibilizou outro quarto e tudo foi resolvido sem problemas! A comida do restaurante deles estava sempre ótima! Ao voltar do Rinjani, eu tinha roupas sujas (e mochilas e bota também) e eles tinham serviço de lavagem de roupas (que ficaram prontas de um dia para o outro)! Fiquei super satisfeito com a hospedagem!

The staff we ran ing and the location just really topped it off. Really nice representation of the local culture and the food was honestly amazing.

Danil and his wife were wonderful hosts—extremely welcoming, friendly, and hospitable. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a great bed and excellent air conditioning. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the shower was one of the best we've had during our travels. The food was delicious and offered great value for money. The garden was also beautiful and very well maintained. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous homestay with the most lovely family running it. Honestly can’t have a better experience staying in Senaru then staying here. Yacob can take you to the waterfalls, rice fields, sunset and more! They also organize any trek you would like to do and their prices and guides are 10/10.

Deni’s homestay is a cute five room homestay tucked back off the main road. Deni was incredibly hospitable - she took me to her family’s restaurant for meals, directed and drove me to the waterfalls, stored my extra baggage for me while I hiked Rinjani, picked me up after my hike, and helped me arrange transport to and from Senaru from Kuta Lombok. It was so peaceful to wake up to the roosters crowing as the sun rose over field in he morning!

Lovely stay in the beautiful village of Bayan. Could not recommend enough! Very clean and peaceful. The owners are very kind and helpful. They helped me with arranging for laundry and scooter hire. Will definitely be back! 😘

A beautiful well placed location for both the waterfalls and the Rinjani hike. The staff were brilliant and made sure we had everything we needed and breakfast and fresh water each morning. We also organized our Mount Rinjani hike through them which was super convenient! And an amazing experience! We had the room for the hike as well so we're able to keep our extra luggage there while we hiked.

A wonderful small family guesthouse with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The room was simple but clean and well maintained, and the whole family really tries their best to make guests feel comfortable. The location is great for visiting the waterfalls and enjoying the peaceful nature around Senaru. One of the best parts of my stay was the hospitality. The family was always kind and helpful, and I truly appreciated all the small gestures during my stay. There is also a small family warung, and the homemade food was some of the tastiest I have had during my time in Indonesia. You can feel that this place is run with care and good energy, not just as a business. I would happily stay here again if I return to Lombok. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a quiet and authentic local experience.
