It's a great place for your vacation. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is very friendly. The Owner, Mr Oka fulfills all your requests and helps you in any way possible. The view is great as the Homestay is a bit off the street on a small hill. Highly recommend.

Truly a gem in Amed-ish area! We stayed only for 1 night but will be planning to comeback for longer mini-vacation. The house is freshly renovated, clean and comfortable with all necessities. Kitchen is fully equipped if you are keen on cooking but also there are cafes in walking distance. We were on a bike so location seemed to be perfect. But I’m sure you can also take a short walk to the beach. And extra thanks to Wayan for making it possible for us to smoothly check in the late-late night 🙏🏼 Nothing tops waking up with gorgeous a view of Agung volcano right from your bed.

I stayed here for almost 1 month and plan to make this my new go-to in Tulamben. It is in a quiet location with a great view of Agung volcano and the forest/ farmland leading up to it. Wi-Fi is excellent and fast. Bed is comfortable. Unit has many power outlets. Lighting is good and functions well. The entire unit looks fairly new. AC is slightly underpowered for the size of the room, so on hot days at peak sun, it gets slightly warm, but nice the rest of the time. Bathroom is good: toilet flushes, shower gets hot quickly, but bathroom could use a mirror for shaving. It was inconvenient to have to step outside to the bedroom mirror. Kitchen is outside on the porch. It has a sink, 2 burner cooktop stove, and a 3/4 size refrigerator with a fairly large freezer. It also has pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. Porch is fairly large and has a table and 2 chairs and a clothes drying rack.. There is a small Hindu shrine in the lawn area. Parking is adequate for 1 car or multiple scooters, but it looks like you could park about 20 m down the road also. It is 7 min. walk to main road and about another 2 to the dropoff dive site. Locate the correct road for the Homestay by turning up the small road to Dive Concepts and continuing straight for about 500 m. Tulamben is a small village with several restaurants, many dive shops, and a couple of small supermarkets. Other facilities are very limited. ATM is in the Indomaret at far end of town. Diving here is phenomenal for macro diving. Jiwa Dive is located only 50 m from Homestay (don't know if they're good. It is a new operation. All the dive operators basically use the same tank provider, visit the same sites, etc. so I'd just pick based on price and vibe). Restaurants all have about the same menu. My favorite is Wayan, near the supermarket and the pizza at Slice n Brew. Again, all are very similar, so pick based on price and vibe.

We stayed for 2 nights in 2 rooms and everything was great. The shared kitchen was very useful for cooking our own meals. The pool right in front of our rooms was a nice touch, the toilets were clean, and the rooms were comfortable.

The breakfast was delicious! You can choose from Indonesian options to western options such as sausage bacon and eggs with fresh fruit juices coffee or teas. This was included in our room rate every day. The pool(s) were so pretty and massive with giant bean bag lounges and traditional loungers surrounded by beautlful foliage. Our room was phenomenal! We were blown away. The bed is out of this world comfortable. And the private bathroom had a full size tub and shower combo to soak after diving. They also offer on site massages very inexpensive either outside under the pergolas or in your own room….BUT we found a hidden gem (Regina’s Massage) up the road. She even offers free pick up and drop off. You will NOT regret it. My husband dove with this company and was very thrilled. I, unfortunately, had an ear infection and could not enjoy diving while visiting here. However, it is the easiest dive shop to work with. You can tell them what time (anytime) the day before and they are accommodating. In fact, each dive my husband did, it was just him and the dive guide without paying for a private guide. They offer the bigger tanks if you blow threw yours quick or haven’t dove in a while for $10 USD extra. They even allowed me to attend one morning on the boat to snorkel while he dove. Ask for a wetsuit beforehand. The waters are colder than we are used to being from the southern USA. Most people use 5 mils here. I would have been fine (warm) but the biggest problem were the jelly’s. They were everywhere! We recommend 1,000% getting a taxi to Sunset Point in Amed. It is about a 20-25 min drive but well worth it. Get there early!!! Seats fill up fast. But it has the most beautiful views of the sunset over the ocean and volcano as well as a massive infinity pool. And GREAT food. (Get the pizza!) & an espresso martini 😋 see photos below of sunset beach.

1st room terrible highway noise, they switched us to a small room with separate beds that had bad sewage smell in bathroom & bath door wouldn’t stay closed. 2 nights of that were too much. They had a cancellation so switched us to another (small) room with single bed, no problems. Location is good for Tulamben shore diving. Rocky shore is tricky. Staff is very helpful.

It's called homstay, but their facilities and service are 5star hotel level! Sparkle clean, spacious room and bathroom, delicious breakfast, and extremely attentive staff. Wifi and AC are in great condition. The bed is so comfy... it's brand new and a good quality one. Also, snorkeling spots, a supermarket, and restaurants are in 5 minutes of walking distance from the place. It's almost impossible to find this condition of accommodation with this price. I ended up extending my stay 2 times as I know I cannot find any better than this place in Amed!
