The property was everything I expected—clean and very organized.

It is soooo cozy and nice! A wonderful experience of staying in a traditional Japanese house with the best Japanese hospitality and up to date convenience. Breakfast was great. If we stayed there for a couple days more, we would definitely use an option of bike rental. Everything was perfect.

I must say, this is by far the BEST hostel I stayed at during my 2024 visit to Japan. Not only is the price affordable, but the hostel truly feels like a home away from home. They thoughtfully prepare snacks, eggs, and even yogurt in the chiller for guests, along with ready hot water. They go the extra mile by providing heat pack and earplugs, as the walls are a bit thin and some outside noise may carry. However, for me, noise wasn’t an issue at all. The rooms & living room are beautifully decorated—so sweet and cozy. They allowed us to store our luggage in the living room after check-out, which was a huge help. When they noticed we were carrying a lot, they even gave us an extra bag ♥️♥️♥️♥️. Their kindness and attention to detail are remarkable. The hosts also provide maps and recommendations for nearby attractions, making it easy to plan your visit. They even surprised us with a thoughtful gesture, which I’ll keep as a secret for you to discover.🤭🤭 Their home is immaculately clean, and although the washroom is shared, the cleanliness made it a non-issue. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone planning to visit Fuji. It’s located less than a 3-minute walk from Fuji Station (both train and bus), making it extremely convenient and easy to find. This place is not just worth the money—it’s an experience of genuine warmth and hospitality that makes your stay truly unforgettable.

the people that live there are so nice and very accommodating. i asked for a dinner recommendation and they did not disappoint. they even allowed me to use their shower after my booking had lapsed. as long as you understand that this house is an historical and traditional residence and not expect a modern, westernized form of accommodation, this house will not disappoint

We only stayed for one night but it was an excellent experience and we enjoyed our stay a lot. It was also a real pleasure to try out the onsen which is used as a privat onsen so you can enjoy it in peace. Location is very nice close to Mt. Fuji and Cherito Pagoda, and owners are super nice and helpful which made our stay even nicer! thank you and I hope to come again!

The house is great! Is a very antique house with a lot of history, and very close to the Mt Fuji and close to the train station. It’s kind of like a museum as they have it well preserved and they explain the history of the house and the Oshis. The whole family is very welcoming and nice.

Nice view, friendly staff, clean room and kitchen, good vibes, also free bike.

The property is easily accessible from Fujisan station, just a 10 min walk. Great views of Mount Fuji from the property and area. Yumiko is an excellent host and went above and beyond to ensure guests are comfortable, and is happy to provide recommendations and tips to make the most of your stay. Would highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful stay at this traditional Japanese hotel. Great view of Mt. Fuji from the balcony. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Nice communal kitchen and bathroom areas. Beds are a bit hard (for a side sleeper), but you might get two mattresses :) Loved the room. Wonderful and very friendly and helpful host. Location is rather off the beaten track - and we loved that. Easy walking or rent a bicycle. For arrival and departure, the wonderful host will drive you from/to train station. Contacting her via Whatsup is best - just a hint! A number of restaurants within walking distance. Loved the residential neighborhood with rice fields that Guesthouse En is located in - so beautiful.
