The house's location is on the side of a mountain, surrounded beautifully by nature. Despite arriving VERY late, we were received and treated kindly. Additionally, at no fault of the owner's, there was a mistake with the reservation and the owner did not have room for 2 women. Despite this, the owner found a place for us. The place is FILLED with cats!! The cats are healthy, friendly, playful, and gentle. When it was time to sleep, they joined us on the futons but did not annoy us. If you're sensitive to noise it might be a little noisy, but I found it relaxing, and it reminded me of my cat back home. The owner is unbelievably kind, and I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. If you are a cat lover, please stay here!

It’s a special experience to stay in a submarine concept hostel. Not a submarine fan but I did also enjoy it, especially given this is what the city is famous for. Room is spacious and clean. Location is also convenient from the ferry and JR.

The location was a little obscure, being down a small alley, but the accommodation was fine. It was a Japanese style room with Tatami and Futons and was very comfortable. Handy to the ferries to get to Hiroshima.

古民家一棟貸し -Yokado Kirikushi- "ゆったり" is located in Etajima, just 3.7 miles from Etajima Park and 4.6 miles from Naval History Museum. With garden views, this accommodation provides a balcony.

Lovely apartment with plenty of space. Very clean too. Transport to and from the island via ferry was easy.

Nora Guesthouse is located a 5-minute walk from Nakamachi port, which has ferry service to Hiroshima (and maybe other places, not sure). The island is pretty sleepy, but so picturesque and a great way to see the Japanese countryside. They do have a bus that runs around the island. Everyone we encountered was friendly. We stayed at Nora Guesthouse for one night in the double room, which had two Japanese style mattresses (on one tatami, one raised). They were VERY comfortable with a big cozy comforter on top. We got in around 5pm and ordered dinner from the owners, then ate and had a few drinks in their first floor restaurant. Very delicious food and friendly atmosphere, a few locals were there too! You can order dinner and breakfast right there in the house. Lastly, we ran into a bit of a transportation snag the next morning with our ongoing plans, and the owners were so helpful in getting it sorted out. Highly recommend for an authentic Japanese guesthouse stay!

The location was awesome, perfect view with sounds of the waves and peaceful. Nakamoto is an excellent host.
