JapanThe residence is super clean, you have all you need, and in top of that the host Kyoko san is a very warm and welcoming person, that receives you with a smile and support you with everything you may need, from recommendations to sightseeing places or restaurants. The staff are very friendly and speak english. There is bar attached with a mixture of tourists and locals where I was able to learn a lot about the local area and culture. The surrounding area has a lot of natural beauty; with mountains, forests and lakes all reachable by bike (which you can rent).
The hostel its self also has a common area and kitchen, which are very cosy in winter. The facilities and bedding is first rate.
