Tito woke up super early to make us breakfast because we had to leave before sunrise. He was super friendly and we had a great stay in his lovely guest house!

It was a very hot day when we arrived, and I was worried that a room without air conditioning would be too warm. The thick white walls, however, kept the heat out. The room had a fan, just in case, but we could have lived without it - the design is that good. The room has plenty of amenities for staying longer than we did (we only stayed one night). There was bicycle parking too - no problem (we arrived on bikes). Host spoke English and Spanish; enough for us to communicate.. we don’t usually drink, but she offered a glass of wine as soon as we arrived, which was a nice touch. The room was clean and “spartan” and also spacious. The building is unique, so it is kind of a special place to stay - one that you might take photographs of. It’s more memorable than some other places. In the room, There were plenty of outlets for us to plug in our electronics. Layout was a little unusual but worked fine. Coffee machine produced one nice espresso…

The Palacio is incredible. I’ve never had a lodging experience like this. The building is like stepping into a Time Machine and the host was so kind and communicated well. On hot days the pool is cooling and comfortable. If I come back to Serpa I am definitely staying here.the location is also fantastic. Very close to amenities, restaurants, and the Praça.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast with cereal, yogurt, breads, cheese, and meats; very good. Hotel restaurant was excellent with wonderful pasta and hand made pizza.
