Comfy, clean, very friendly and quiet

After a long hiking day, my boyfriend and I enjoyed to have this accommodation to rest for the night. We found a great last minute deal and are satisfied with our stay. The quality we received for the price we paid was great! I was surprised at how nice of a balcony we had in our room, and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy it during the day. The staff was very friendly during check-in and check-out.

Vila Nova Milfontes is a lovely little seaside town and we’re glad we found this wonderful B&B which is just a few steps away from cafes, shops and restaurants. Room is simple and great value for money. Parking is free and easy, just outside the B&B. The beach is about 10mins walk away and the lighthouse (great place for sunset) another 15mins.

The modern bathroom. Excellent shower. Nice and friendly owner who took time to give some recommendations. No breakfast at the hotel but free coffee at the backery next door for hotel guests.

Cute place in the middle of town. We arrived early. Met the owner, a lovely lady, Teresa, who handed us the key and told us to come a little later when our room was cleaned. She lives downstairs, rooms are up one flight of stairs. Very comfortable beds, very nice and modern bathroom with electric towel rack and great water pressure. There is a little kitchenette with a fridge, water kettle, coffee maker, micro wave and home baked cake. Everything was squeaky clean. If you come by car, there is street parking just around the corner. Hope to come back here one day.

This room exceeded expectations - it was lovely! The owners were very kind and helpful. We were welcomed with tea and delicious pastel de nata. We also ate at their restaurant in the evening and it was great - delicious homemade food and reasonable prices. Great stay!!

We had a very good experience. The staff waited for us when we had a late check in and were very keen to help us find parking. Really appreciated that they were dog friendly. We had a little balcony which was also cozy. More importantly everything was nice and clean.

Why do we ever pay for expensive hotels when we can find a perfect little place like this with everything we need at a great value? Twin beds comfy, plenty of room, a good-sized fridge, plates cups cutlery plus a kettle and microwave, lots of hot water, everything lovely and clean. Friendly staff and freedom to come and go as if it was our own place. We parked about three mins walk away as you can’t drive down the short “travsssa” to the house, but plenty of car parks all free in Milfontes. A sweet village with some excellent restaurants and great hiking/beaches.

Picture a visit to stay with your favorite aunt in her traditional family home where she will spoil you for your entire visit - such was our visit with Idália! The location in V.N. de Milfontes is pretty perfect, right in the center of the original town, very close to the river Mira and the fortress/castle, but away from the main drag. We made use of the guest kitchen and living room upstairs on a few cool evenings to play cards and sip some excellent Alentejo red wine. Gorgeous wild beaches to explore each day along with sections of the Fisherman‘s Trail. A perfect place to experience Portugal!
