The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a clean, beautiful large suite with a balcony that came with a nice view. We appreciated the filling breakfast to start each day. The location was near a bus stop (Zi Xinyuan) that was about a 15 minute walk uphill to the hotel. There were a few restaurants within a 10-20 minute walk. NOTE: During weekends, there was a nice Ramen shop within a 10 minute walk.

Honestly, Maple Leave Holiday Villa exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, beautifully designed, and the balcony view was perfect. We also loved the bathroom—there was an “onsen-style” bathtub that was great for relaxing at the end of the day. The location and views were a real highlight, especially if you’re there for hiking (close to the mountains, plus stores and restaurants nearby). The amenities were good, and the staff were consistently warm and helpful with everything we asked. The only minor downsides: it wasn’t very quiet at night (you can hear the hallway and sometimes other rooms). Also, the staff couldn’t communicate in English, so if you don’t speak Chinese, be ready to use your phone to translate. Breakfast was a bit dull with limited variety—very Taiwanese-style (I missed things like cheese, ham, and bacon), but it wasn’t a big deal. Some common areas also felt a bit run-down and could use maintenance and a cleaner design—reception, in particular, felt a little cluttered. Overall, zero major complaints—this is the kind of place that makes a trip easier, and I’d happily return.

Very convenient! We Walked 7-11 , the little Swiss garden, 國民賓館，the owner can drop you off to the 清境農場by car for 5 mins and you can walked via skywalks back to hotel for 40 mins !!!great trip !

Here’s a polished review you can use: We had a wonderful stay at this hotel with our whole family, including my parents. The hotel is located on a beautiful hill, and the views are absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The owner is extremely kind and welcoming. Even though I had booked a double-bed room for myself and my kids, the owner generously upgraded us to a 4-bedroom arrangement, which made our stay even more comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with many good vegetarian options available. My parents also really enjoyed their stay. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to families looking for a peaceful and scenic place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay here. Although the host doesn't speak English, he's handy with google translate and was able to be helpful, gracious and generous. We loved the view from our balcony. There are several good restaurants within walking distance.
