This hanok is in the heart of the village but somehow feels completely secluded. The room and house were lovely, but what really makes this place special is the host. In the morning, she will serve breakfast and coffee out of her kitchen window. She gave us some great recommendations for food. She was a joy to talk to and it was clear she was happy to have you there. If you are staying in Jeonju, this is the place to stay.

Extensive guidance on what to do in Jeonju and a super warm welcome. They reserved a parking spot for us with their own car and waited until we arrived. Wonderful house and surprisingly quiet at night. He made wooden printing blocks for a living, see pictures.

We stayed at Hanok Dream for two nights in late November. It was our first Hanok experience and the most memorable part of our 8-day trip in Korea! As other reviews have pointed out, the location is perfect and the owner is friendly. I can’t say enough great things about the owner, Mr. Choi. We learned that he is a retired banker. He is super organized, attentive, and helpful. After he knew that my wife is a K-drama fan, he immediately marked a few famous filming locations on the map. In addition, there was a water cooler in his office, and it helped a lot for us to get hot drinking water on cold days. His wife is also a friendly lady, and we tried to communicate via the translation apps! This kind of interactions with locals really enriched our experience. We had never slept on the floor before, but we were glad that we got used to it, with the help of extra pillows! I can’t find words to describe the wonder of lying on the heated floor and feeling the heat warming into my body through my back. I guess this is Koreans’ secret to stay healthy! Since we stayed for two nights, we had enough time to visit all the major attractions (and great restaurants and cafes!) without feeling rushed. I especially enjoyed walking around the old town late at night or early in the morning, when the day-trippers were gone and it seemed that you had Jeonju all to yourself! This is a really good guesthouse - the location is central and yet its quiet at night, the facilities are clean, the room is comfortable and ventilated, and the vibe is very artsy. Above all, the host is extremely friendly and helpful. He even helped us with booking a bus ticket when it turned out we had made the wrong booking. Plus, the guesthouse also has a cafe with excellent coffee.
