This place is amazing. It's an historical Spanish hacienda from the 19th century, very well managed and maintained by Don Mario and his lovely family. The rooms are spacious, heated and clean. The view to the lake or patio are magnificent, very calm and quiet as it is a 10 minute walk from the town center. Highly recommended!

Loved it all, had the space to unwind, the rooms are 10/10 with a beautiful lake view but also super cosy. The food cooked by Richard’s wife was perfection, arriving to a beautiful fresh fish lunch with home grown potatoes was nothing short of excellence. I got to explore the village on my own as I needed some time to recover, and in the evening we made a fire after dinner, and danced to local music in local clothes, couldn’t ask for a better night, topped off by a beautiful night sky. Overall 10/10

This is an experience Hotel, something entirely different. Given that, it is superb experience. It is managed by Isaac and his family and he does everything to introduce you into the way of life of the Uros. We went out in one of his fishing boats, a magically experience gliding through the Dottore reads, listening to the sounds of birds and experiencing the calm of that Lake. In the evening he made a meal for us, in the morning, breakfast. Both were great. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a bit of luxury within a very authentic setting. The pickup and drop off to the pier works very well, the trip is about 30 minutes.

The living, where we could stay for a couple of hours after checkout, was super useful. Also, llamas maintaining the grass on the property are very keen to pose for photos.

I agree with other reviews in that this place is prettier than the pictures! It’s further out than other accommodations but I like the peace. It can be really cold on the lake at night but the owners make sure you are warm—hot water bottles for the bed and a heater. The bed was also very comfortable. Amazing stay all around. They were also able to check me in early and take me to a nice lunch spot on the lake. Highly recommend!

A comfortable place to stay on Taquile. Our hosts Julian and Ana Juliana were very welcoming and accommodating to all of our needs and questions. Julian spent time with us sharing some of the history of the island, agriculture, and plant usage as well as giving us suggestions of where to visit. Highly recommended!
