Hostels in El Calafate

It’s an amazing wooden building like a log house with a large social room. Room was comfortable and everything was clean.

Love the attention from the staff always smiling and very good vibes, the view from the common areas is unbeatable just espectacular and very welcoming and cozy fun to build community

Everything was great, including a delicious, filling breakfast, the staff was always ready to help.

The hostal was great, the staff was very friendly (she even gave us a little map and stickers). The wifi worked very great and the location was very convenient. We were in a 5 min short walk from the main avenue. The breakfast was pretty average but enough to fill out stomachs. It’s a very well known hostel for all the tours and transfers.

Matices hostel was one of the best we have stayed. They were so efficient and proactive in communication via whatsapp The location was superb, only a few steps from the bus station. The entire bldg is new and modern. The bedrooom and bathoom were large, modern and clean; plenty of hot water; beds were comfortable. heater worked well; free breakfast; bright and pleasant lobby with large windiws; 24 hour reception; two huge common kitchens; luggage storage; kind cheerful good looking English speaking staff were happy to answer our questions. They helped us with buying national park entrance tickets online and helped us communicating with our hotel in El Chalten. We appreciated their help so much. After 11pm, it was so quiet and we slept well. We liked everything about this hostel.

I thought this was a good place to stay. In a city that has a lot of tourists, this place was very reasonably priced and they treated us like visitors, not tourists. They were honest about what they thought we should and shouldn't spend money on, and they were patient when our Spanish wasn't the best. The place has pretty big rooms and a nice kitchen.

Danny is the kindest host we’ve ever met. This is his family business, and he runs it together with his wife and brother. They truly make you feel at home. They are extremely accommodating with everything from special requests to holding your luggage, organising day trips to the glaciers, etc. Sweetest people. Also the location is perfect, next to the Main Street with all the restaurants etc

Staff was great, all of the where very friendly and helpful. They provided great recommendations and guidance with a very nice attitude. Breakfast is really good, very complete with different options. Very good location near the center.

The staff are amazing. I dropped 40k on the floor (didn't know) he picked it up and surprised me with it. Very friendly and helpful people there.

It’s like Airbnb, not hotel. Room is cozy and heater worked so good. There is a small kitchen and equipments in the room too. The owner is generous and she explained for us about the area. The location is very near restaurants and main street.
