Every day the staff clean all rooms and the kitchen, there are always someone to help you in the reception, everyone are kind and attentive. Train station is close, you have many restorant, supermarket and whatever you need close to the hostel

“Your home away from home” is how I would define Lil Darling. After more than three years traveling around Australia and over ten years traveling the world, I never felt what I felt here. The warmth of the place, the owner Mirjana, who makes you feel like family, sharing time with us, cooking for us, and making this place feel like our own. If you’re looking to feel like part of a family and enjoy quality time with those staying alongside you during your time in Sydney, this is the place to book. On top of that, the area where it’s located is beautiful, with plenty of bars and picturesque streets to explore, as well as easy access to key points in Sydney. I would 100% choose this hostel again, a thousand times over.

Lovely hostel with great travel links to all the main attractions you want to see. Also really enjoyed the events that are on each day of the week which are a great bonus considering how good the prices are. The staff were all really friendly and helpful which was nice as I was traveling on my own. If its your first time in Sydney as a solo traveller I highly recommend!

If it's your first time visiting Sydney, I say this is one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Comfy bed, duvet, strong water pressure from the shower (stall 2), and a fully equipped kitchen, laundry available. I stayed there for a week, and it was comfortable! Walking distance to the train station, bus stops to the beaches. I wake up to a clean shower and toilet. The staff is diligent in making everything organized, and Max, the manager, was accommodating and friendly! Coles and Wollies are within walking distance. There's a nice bakery with good coffee down the street. All in all, very convenient for solo traveler like me!

The greeting from the love staff member (didn't get her name), ease of check in process. Nothing a bother and we even got a kettle delivered to our door. The most comfortable bed ever. The room had all the amenities that we needed. It was a quiet place amongst the birds and the trees!

Everything can only be downhill from here up the east coast

Beautiful building，clean room，helpful staff

They have breakfast and pizza friday night. Common room was very cosy and nice place to hang out. Hot shower available. Kitchen to cook and store your food / ingredients in. Bed was decently sized and comfortable, blanket prepared too. It's literally within 2min walking distance from the train station that is a direct line from the Sydney Airport (10~15min travel).

YHA location is great! It’s super close to Central station and right in front of Haymarket tram stop. You can get on the tram and go to Sydney Opera House in only 11 minutes! The rooftop pool at that 9th floor was amazing! I could enjoy the pool all by myself! The cafe/bar/kitchen area was clean and you can also fill up your bottle of water anytime for free.

The staff were FANTASTIC and very accommodating. The rooms and bathrooms felt clean and the kitchen was fairly clean as well. The bar below was a fun environment and there are a few good grocery stores within walking distance.

Very worth the slightly higher price as this was the ONLY nice hostel I stayed in while in Sydney. Very clean, actual privacy with capsules, lots of bathrooms, in a great area, good laundry facilities, friendly staff, big lockers, and it actually matches the pictures!

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! After a long and exhausting trip, arriving here felt like a huge relief. Ellie at reception was absolutely incredible, she was friendly, welcoming, and truly attentive. She made the whole check-in process so smooth and lifted my mood instantly. The hostel itself is fantastic, but staff warmth and professionalism made the experience even better. Highly recommended! 🙌

The location is the best about the property. You are at the center of everything. They have free laundry and free food. Affordable if you are two people.
