Location, friendly staff and cats!!

Excellent location to restaurants and a short walk to the port and shopping centre. Comfy beds and the staff and super helpful and lovely.

The staff was super helpful - i arrived super early because my overnight bus dropped me off two hours earlier than scheduled, they let me into my room early and let me sleep. The bathrooms are clean. The kitchen is equipped to cook. Overall the hostel was quiet which I liked. The staff are super nice to talk to. The atmosphere is cozy.

Walking distance to the Neruda house and one of the best breweries is next door. Good value and friendly staff

Awesome vibe, cool people and a great time

The location is fantastic close to lots of highlights. The common area upstairs was great, the staff spend a lot of time there and are very friendly, and the kitchen is clean and well equipped.

Beautiful common space with aerial features. Nice big kitchen and perfect pressure showers. Great location for sightseeing.

It is a very nice hostel with everything you need in the shared kitchen, hot shower, an outside area with a lot of plants, and a very nice and helpful staff.

Just got back from the most wonderful stay at El Mirador in Valparaiso! Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this hidden gem. Marisol, the owner, greeted me with the warmest smile and immediately made me feel like family rather than just another tourist. My room was spotless and so peaceful - I slept like a baby every night! Quick tip though: the windows in my room faced the interior hallway rather than outside, so I kept mine open for some fresh air circulation (totally worth it). The highlight of my mornings was definitely enjoying breakfast on that gorgeous patio - sipping coffee while taking in those breathtaking views of Valpo's colorful hills and the ocean beyond. The bread and local fruits were absolutely delicious! I'm already planning my return trip. If you're heading to Valparaiso, do yourself a favor and book with Marisol at El Mirador. You won't regret it!
