I absolutely looooved my stay at Matsya! I felt incredibly welcome from the moment I arrived at the hostel. The staff are so warm and approachable that you feel right at home almost instantly! I loved the enthusiasm and relaxed atmosphere of the hostel and its surroundings. The beach is nearby, as are public transport, restaurants, bars, and supermarkets. If you're looking to relax and meet friendly people, this is the perfect place! I wish you all the best for the coming months and hope to see you again soon!

The whole atmosphere and the vibes of the place were amazing. - helpful and friendly staff - well-equipped kitchen, plus everyone had their own little box in the cupboard and the fridge as well - well-functioning and clean showers and toilets - open living room to chat with people and just hang out - location was ok, and the free buses that go to the beach make it super easy to go to the city center and the coast. I was skeptical about 15 people sleeping in the same room, but it actually worked out. The room was big enough, everyone had their own locker, curtains on the beds, hooks for your towel, and even little night pockets to put your stuff there. Quiet hours were respected and guests were really friendly with each other.

Staff were very helpful. Location was very nice, walkable to several restaurants and sites around Bidart. Beds were comfortable.

The location is absolutely great for surfing. The breakfast is top. I was very surprised by all the boards available, as well as sauna + spa

The pictures match the real place perfectly! The tent is spacious and well-ventilated. Most importantly, the mattress is extremely comfortable—I didn’t have any back pain at all. It’s much better than many campsites and mobile homes I’ve stayed at in France. The staff are very kind, friendly, and flexible—they’re always smiling and speak English very well. The facilities are spacious, the bathrooms and showers are clean, and the kitchen is spotless and fully equipped. I was really impressed and will definitely come back
