Hostels in Nikšić

My favorite place in Niksic. I stayed here before and when I visit the town, I will stay here again. 10+++ for my host, and another 10+++ for the garden. I so love that garden with the wild fig tree that grows wild (even when cut down regularly as my host explained) and maybe one day I'll spot the owls nesting here. The hostel has everything you'd expect from a hostel, with a nice common room/kitchen, that garden, a good hot shower, and I had the room for me alone, since.. well.. not many other guests. And of course, crawling distance from the train and bus station and the center.

The hostel is perfectly clean. All the facilities are very functional. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hostel is quiet at night and the bed is comfortable to sleep.

This rental is run by a nice couple. You have the option to choose the cabin if all of them are available. If so, make sure to choose the one that face the lake. It's so beautiful cabin with a window view to the lake. There is nothing better than seeing stars above the lake at night and then in the morning wake up seeing the lake. I would also recommend to have dinner and breakfast cooked by hosts. It's very affordable and the food is so delicious. By this you can also taste some local dishes with the ingredients that are locally produced. The hosts are very friendly, they know some English words so you can communicate what you would like with them. Also messaging in booking.com also works and you get instant replies. Few tips: No internet at the lake. You can get it at 500m from the lake. Host can give you the location details. No electricity in the cabins, but you can ask the host to charge your phone at their house which has solar powered sockets. If you stay at the cabin facing the lake, shower is under the cabin...you can ask for the key from the host. Same with the bathroom location, but it's not locked. I would definitely recommend this place if you love spending few nights with lake view without any distractions from outer world.
