The owners are the most amazing people! They care so much about the hostel and their guest, you really feel at home. A small hostel with the most warm people and enviroment, beatifull sunset, two crazy but cute dogs. The place is always so clean, the dorms comfortable and quiet, and you really feel cared for! Stayed for 3 nights, and then asked to stay for one more week beacuse i liked it so much! Thank you from all my heart <3

The Purple House is situated on a main road, but several miles from city center. You will have several restaurants and convenience stores just across the street. There is also a beach nearby. All of that is within easy walking distance. If you want to go to the city center, you will need to use taxis. It’s not a big deal, they are very easy to get, and Amanda will even give you information for a taxi service you can text directly. You can also rent a scooter, but beware because we saw many bandaged up people from scooter accidents and the hospital bills are $6,000+ Just factor the taxis into the cost of your stay here. The atmosphere is nice. Amanda is really friendly and helpful. She will answer you quickly every time. She wants your stay to be nice. The house has 8 beds, a mini fridge and a kettle, a bathroom, and a main gathering space. When I stayed we had 5 and we had no problem taking turns with the bathroom and we did okay with only cooking instant noodles using a kettle. The only part that was frustrating was trying to keep the main area cooled off. We would get the temperature just right and then the housekeeping would come clean and leave the doors to the outside open for an hour and it would get hot again. If they would just keep the doors closed when they cleaned the house would have stayed cooler. I would definitely recommend this house for women traveling. It felt so safe and it was really nice to have automatic friends. Amanda and her husband have done a great job creating that.

Clean place with spacious beds. Outside is a big comfortable terrace from where you can see the sea and chill. Beach is just a few steps away. The host is really helpful and a nice guy.

very good hostel and vibe. i stayed in the private room in front of the pool and it was amazing

I was supposed to stay 4-5 days on the island but so that the hostel was good and they were nice people I stayed more than 15 days. They have a beautiful balcony to chill out and the facility is really clean. Well located between 2 seven elevens and just 3 min by walk to the night market. Not that far from the port too for arrivals and departures.
