Starting with the warmest welcome of the host, our stay was incredible from all perspectives: comfy beds, clean bathrooms and shared areas, good location and all-in service for a hostel. To be honest, I was expecting less as many of my friends told that hostels in Hollywood was not good in quality but The California - Holllywood just demolished the rumors. It was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed as a fellow traveler. Already recommended to some colleagues who are planning to travel LA in upcoming months! Please keep up this high standard, and thanks for the Turkish tea!

I had a fantastic stay here and can’t say enough good things about the staff—they are truly the highlight of this place. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure guests felt comfortable and welcome. It made a huge difference and really elevated the entire experience. The private rooms were clean, quiet, and well-maintained, offering a great sense of comfort and privacy. I slept well and felt like I had my own peaceful retreat after a long day. The shared spaces were also surprisingly nice—well kept, easy to use, and never felt crowded or uncomfortable. Overall, this hotel strikes a great balance between comfort, value, and atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place with excellent service, solid private rooms, and pleasant common areas, this is an easy recommendation. I’d absolutely stay here again.
