To my surprise, I slept so well. Being in a former prison, I expected to sleep badly. But I slept like a baby. The bed was so comfortable. Thank you! I was the only guest, and I had the whole "haunted" experience myself. What a stay!

Seems to be formerly or possibly still a university dorm. But I had a comfy bed, a fridge in the room, easy access to the kitchen. The location was convenient for sightseeing as well, and there's a nice mini-market next door offering, among other things, great baked goods at nice prices. I had a very pleasant stay here.

I was on a cycling trip through Kurzeme and stopped here for one night. Arrived late, but the check-in was well organized with a keybox. The room was a classic backpacker room, great thing that the bed was already made on arrival. Kitchen and bathrooms were nice, well-equipped and clean. I could leave my bike in the hallway and lock it there. Place was quiet and not too busy on a July weekend.
